Excellent.Maybe have Angelina brown skinned for The Sea Witch role. You know give her a tan.She would still wear the same Undersea Gear.Brad Pitt or Denzel Washington would be excellent as The Sea Tiger.

In my dream casting I'd put in Bruce Campbell as a "Dark Knight Returns" era Batman.

Ian McKellen as Alfred. Certainly Adam West as Commissioner Gordon. And to make things age appropriate, Julianne Moore as Catwoman, and Willem Defoe as The Joker. I love Jack Nicholson, but G-d, a worse Joker I cannton Imagine. Oh wait, I've seen Gotham. I can imagine a worse Joker. Julianne Moore. She'd certainly make the Newmar, Meriwether top three in beauty for Catwomen. Hathaway was pretty, but c'mon.

Excellent Points, but I would make Batman the 1966 type. Not too keen on The Dark Knight version. But,that is my opinion.I would also make the Villains/Villainesses the 1966 version.

There is some belief that Frank Miller's DKR, WAS the 1966 Batman. 20 years later. After he'd gone thru a lot of loss & trauma. Tim Burton really dropped the ball when he didn't film the comic straight out (ala Sin City) and make Adam West it's star. Anyway, with Bruce Campbell campy and over-the-top would almost be de ri·gueur (required). That said, I'd rather see almost anyone play Batman than Ben Affeck.

I agree about Ben Affleck. Nothing against him as such, but he doesn't seem to me to be "right" for the role.

We'll have to see. I'm not a big fan of Cavill as Supes either, As Napoleon Solo, He was fine.
BTW P.P. I agree with Your other ideas, had it been done at the time. Directly adapting DKR, would have been a wonderful way for Adam to flex his acting muscles AND to say goodbye to Fans so He could go on to other things. F.M's DKR implies from the way Batman talks about Robin and the Batmobile, Robin had been killed which would have made Batman bitter and angry!
Any chance I can copy Your poster? I REALLY like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Thanks for making that poster. It's a poignant vision of what SHOULD have been.

:) The poster isn't mine, I found it online. So it's public domain -- do whatever you want with it! To me it has kind of a DC comic's 'The Creeper' vibe.

when I was originally reading DKR, I got the feeling it was either West's Batman or the Silver age version.

Naw, I think the Adam West Batman was FAR too healthy to have turned out to be ANYTHING like Frank Miller's Batman.

You both have excellent points.
Gernot, expect a P.M. from me. Nothing negative, indeed, quite the opposite.
