It was in the script, Quill, but they ultimately couldn't get the rights to the song. Too bad. So they substituted it with the on-stage Batdance while the rogues gallery fought the Batmen.

During the jailbreak scene one of the convicts had a three foot long Yosemite Sam type handlebar mustache. Could that have been False-Face sans mask?

Whiskers got a package but I don't think he is one of the rouges. They show 9 escaping, 6 by balloon, 3 by umbrella, but the Warden says everyone escaped but those three (Joker, Penguin, & Riddler), so some didn't get into the van. They show Mr. Freeze over the wall and King Tut but they wern't one of the 9 or in the courtyard?? Villians like Egghead and Clock King and the ladies were perhaps locked up elsewhere? False Fase is there in the courtyard, sans mask with the fedora.

Question? During the credits, with all that Bat Dancing, did any of you recognize the "moves" Batman and Catwoman For a moment, I thought it might have been based on the dancing from a King Tut episode. Did any of the rest of you think that?

Really. Where did the writers or animators come up with that?

Missing villains? Olga Queen of Cossacks, Marsha, Queen of Diamonds, Nora Clavicle, Chandler. Who else didn't make the cut?

I didn't see Ma Parker or her kids, Minerva, Freddy the Fence, Dr. Cassandra Spellcraft, Cabala, Calamity Jan, Lord Marmaduke Ffogg, Lola Lasagna, Colonel Gumm, The Puzzler (but nobody wanted to see him anyway) or Zelda the Great.

Ok, they seem to be setting up a call back with the ballet practice, did I miss it?
Was it a little weird that was what he was practicing so much?
Also, if the joke is that they are gay I think it is a little forced. Or maybe deadpan doesn't work in animation.
Nit pics, I love love love love love it.
4tn time thru.

Just wondering why in the opening credits the flip thru the comic books show the language to be in Latin?

I thought the same thing. Especially after the second scene of Dick working on ballet while exiled from the Batcave, I expected an eventual "roundhouse pirouette" or similar payoff. Maybe it got lost in an edit.

Despite its Latin content -- it's based on a work by Cicero that's scrambled into nonsense -- it's called "Greeked" text. Creative directors and graphic designers use it as filler in page layouts, to keep the focus on the arrangement of headlines, graphics, and copy, when actual content is unavailable (or when real copy could be a distraction in conversations about design).

Similar text shows up in ROTCC in the "stories" under the crime-wave newspaper headlines that flash onscreen.

Cheers,

Thanks for the info, Wally! I knew from the trailer that the hostess was Miranda Moore, but only saw the name as reinforcement for the character design's homage to the real "M.M." The play on Adam's "Miranda" didn't hit me until I saw Batman on the Palace stage. :)

..Some of the Batman references mentioned or noticed, Catwoman X3, SPRANG (as in Dick Sprang), what should read "Semple vs Dozier" in the subtitles (clearly heard as Dozier), Fitzsimmons (for Charles?), and the diplomacy phrase mentioned earlier.
