Eli Wallach, the third Mr. Freeze in the 1966 Batman series, has a birthday today. Born 7 December 1915 in New York, he is likely the oldest living guest star of the series at age 97. When he made his appearance in early 1967, Mr. Wallach was a well-established movie star with such movies as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966), The Magnificent Seven (1956) and Baby Doll (1956), he did the role in part because of is kids. He attended the University of Texas with Walter Cronkite and Texas Governor John Connolly, and learned how to ride horses there. He made his last movie in 2010.
