In the latest episode, we talk about "The Joker's Last Laugh", the last writing credit for Lorenzo Semple on Batman '66, and a story that originally featured Two-Face! http://ow.ly/7aMw30b0TNQ

Probably should post a note about this one not being for kids. Don't know if I would have opened with Iggy Pop, if this were my first time listening I would have thought this was your regular opening and it would have been my last.

Thanks for pointing that out. I neglected to put on the "explicit" tag, but I just did. A few 4-letter words in this one.

Cool. Sorry, I'll be more sensitive about these from an editing perspective now -- although I don't believe we have any more Bat-themes with swearing in them!

This episode was actually the second time that Josie's dress had been used in the show. The first time, it was Minstrel's moll wearing it. Then, they brought it out of mothballs for this episode and held onto it for Ida Lupino.

There's also a suspiciously similar-looking top on a secretary in Green Hornet episode 18! No orange stripe across the front, though.

Great podcast! I love how you analyzed the different themes of authenticity and economics, and that you are both admirers of Lorenzo Semple's incomparable wordplay- as am I!

A couple of my favorite lines in this episode from the master, LS:

"I succumbed to the temp-TA-tion of specu-LA-tion with the funds of the Wayne Foun-DA-tion!" (Perfectly delivered by Adam West.)

and

"Don't dip your oar in this sordid sea, Dick. You'll only get besmirched."

Also, the ending is priceless when the German psychiatrist refers to Batman as "Die Fledermaus Mensch"!
