Kathy Kersh turns 70 today!!

Post by Catfan »

Kathy Kersh, who played Cornelia in Batman, and was married to Burt Ward, has a birthday today. Born in Los Angeles on 15 December 1942, she was elected Miss Rheingold in 1962 and began her acting career the following year. While her last film was in 1975, she is clearly one of the more memorable molls from the 1966 series. Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas, Ms. Kersh!!!

"Kersh? Kersh who?"
"Gesundheit!!!"

(couldn't resist... guess it is funnier with the laughing gas...)

I knew Kathy Kersh sang a few songs on Shindig, but I didn't know that she released a single that Burt Ward produced:

It's on the wayback machine:

Apparently her last film "Gemini Affair" is considered something of a "women's lib masterpiece". It also starred Marta Kristen from 'Lost in Space', who Burt Ward claimed in his book, was so obsessed with him, she hid in the bushes at his house with a knife and tried to stab him. But who knows? Adam West was quoted as saying Burt's book was "So full of bologna you could sell it at a deli."
And of course, the full movie is on youtube.
