I also shot a couple of minutes of Super 8 film myself at the event of West and Ward. I hope to locate that film soon and have it transferred to DVD, and I will upload that also.
Fear not citizen. Here is the rest of the second clip:Clavier Ankh wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 9:43 amI managed to get almost everything, the worse being the 2nd clip that I caught mid story. Funny thing is, that station WFIE I went to work for 8 years later in 1993. I searched high and low in the tape archives for the World of Wheels video and soundbite so to nab a complete copy of what aired, but could locate nothing. So during the 8 years in between the tape was either lost/damaged or the video was not archived, or archived correctly.
I can't wait to see that!I also shot 3 minutes of Super 8 film myself at the event of West and Ward. I hope to locate that film soon and have it transferred to DVD, and I will upload that also.
Thank you! I don't recognize that uploaders name, he must have left the station before I started there.
That 2nd Toronto 1985 link just took me to a recommended page. Is this the clip you intended to link:
Have you seen this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhpEnF3rCNQ
Judging by the TV episodes on the same tape as my World of Wheels clips, mine was shot in March of 1986. Or possibly early April. I just spent a little over an hour looking for the Super 8 film, but it's not where I thought it was. That one might take a bit longer. I'm pretty sure at that time I had upgraded from a Super 8 silent camera, to a Super 8 sound camera. It's been so long I can't remember everything I shot. I did film while I was in line, and I'm pretty sure after they signed for me I went and sat up high in the stadium watching. Eventually they went on a break, and I believe I filmed as they went up the stairs right next to where I was sitting.
Something else I noticed in the Toronto clips, Adam has a MUCH better bat symbol on his costume than the crude hand drawn bat he was using a couple of months later in Evansville.
I have seen that second clip. I wish it had contained their opening stand up act. I had seen Adam perform solo several times but never as a duo. Here's another one from 1989. Burt Ward was not at this one. https://youtube.com/watch?v=k1483-6a380
I was at that show in Toronto. I was actually able to see and hear myself talking to Adam while he signed a photo for me! Here are some pics:
I'd still like to see it. How long does it run?Clavier Ankh wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 1:00 pmI finally found my Super 8 film that I shot in 1986 when the duo appeared at the World Of Wheels in Evansville, Indiana. I'm a little disappointed it's silent as I had a sound camera at the time. Maybe I only had a silent cartridge to go into the camera when I went that day.
