Batman debuts in the UK

TV Times was one of 2 equivalent 'TV Guides' in the U.K. At that time it only listed programmes on the ITV network. If you wanted to know what was on the BBC you had to buy Radio Times...
Whatever, looks like we had to wait until May before seeing the show. Holy time delay!!

Oh wow, that brings the memories flooding back!
As an aside, I've not heard of Monica Rose (from Clapham Junction) for decades.

...Going from the UK to another part of the British Isles, a while back I read a 1960s book by an Irishman ~ unfortunately I no longer remember its title ~ which was rather a polemic on his part as to how he felt the culture and pride of Ireland had been watered down by commercial/whatever culture, I remember him bitching about the Batman series being shown and popular in the Republic of Ireland...I can't really reconstruct what he said but he even commented on the show being on, on Eire TV, twice a week!!!!!!!!!!! 8-)
