Batman laboratory scenes

Post by bat-rss »

Hey, all,
Recently when we do "Bat Research Lab" on our podcast, I've been introducing the segment with a clip of the Duo doing sciency stuff in the Batcave (The Purrrfect Crime) or with the Mobile Bat Lab (at the reservoir in The Penguin Declines). Can you suggest other "lab" scenes that I could use a clip of to start the segment?

There's the scene toward the end of the '66 movie when they are separating the dust.

Also Batman with the microscope, looking at the Ligerian Fruit Fly, Season 3.

In either Death in Slow Motion or The Riddler's False Notion, Batman mixes chemicals into a kind of truth-detection potion as part of a Batcave interrogation of Riddler moll Pauline.

False Notion, with Gordon along for the ride, since Batman wanted a witness. Pauline had just lawyered up by throwing out the name of her esteemed mouthpiece, Oliver Wendell.

I always thought it didn't make a lot of sense to give Gordon Bat Gas at his desk, since some poor slob from the GCPD ultimately had to carry him down to the Batmobile for the 14-mile trek. It would have been much simpler to do it when he was already in the vehicle. :D

In the George Sanders Mr. Freeze episode, "Instant Freeze," Batman was testing how long he could remain in subzero conditions.

This is more math than science, but at the beginning of "Penguin Sets a Trend," the duo is being catapulted to their presumed deaths. In the midst of their "flight," Batman manages to perfectly calculate the trajectory of where they'll land and dispatches the Batmobile to that spot--where a safety net pops out.

More science-related: In the Joker/robot arc. Batman takes one of the robots back to the Batcave and reprograms it to foil the Joker.
