Is the Movie Really in the Public Domain?
I've seen several ebay listings that claim that batman the movie (1966) is in the public domain, is this true?
Here is one of the listings:

Thought so, I don't know why its a trend for ebay sellers to claim its public domain....

The icing on the cake, they say that the art work on the cover is protected! LOL!
From the Ebay ad,
"This item is in the public domain and is not a bootleg, pirated or illegal copy. Works in the public domain are those whose intellectual property rights have expired, have been forfeited, or are inapplicable. The Artwork i.e. cover, label and any and all artwork contained is not public domain and may not be reproduced without written consent."
Unless Chris is bootlegging DVD's, they stole the cover art too! LOL!

I may be in the minority, I really like buying bootlegs of movies, I don't really know why, I just think it I should kind of cool (not bootlegging, but having a bootleg as a kind of historical artifact)! I would kind of like a bootleg of the '66 series to add to my collection...anyone able to let theirs go?

A bluff to stop people reporting the listing as bogus.THE BATPHONE! wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 1:08 pm Thought so, I don't know why its a trend for ebay sellers to claim its public domain....

Why would anyone buy this DVD-R pirate copy when the movie is still in print and priced half of what this eBay Joker is selling his for on eBay.
