Holy Bat-Bucks!!! I am impressed that the car went for 4.2 million bucks!!! That more than any Bat-Villain ever tried to steal. The one thing that bothered me was seeing George Barris looking quite confused and repeating himself over and over again. After the auction was over he thought the car had sold for $2 million.

I was a little disappointed that our man Scott was not up on the stage, but I imagine you couldn't have squeezed him in up there without a shoehorn. Sheesh, what a crowd around the car!

I really wanted to win that Batmobile auction too. Had to bow out at 2.5 Milion.
Had a few other bills I needed to pay off and just could not go any higher.

ABC News had a 20-second (or so) segment on the sale. No film of the sale, but they did show clips from the Hi Diddle Riddle--arriving at What-a-Way-to-Go-Go, Robin moving the vehicle and, of course, Batman doing the Batusi!

Commissions count, too- that an extra $420 GRAND (almost half a mil) out of the winners pocket.

Really thought the foreign market would step in (much) higher, but hey, good for Arizona!
