how does one post pics ?

not sure how to do it from my files, but if you upload from a service like Picture Trail, it's easy. When posting, click on the little icon that looks like the sun over mountain peaks. This will open a link, copy the URL and post it into the link box and hit submit.

So you have to post it to a pic uploader site first before posting ugg!! twice the work

You can't do it via the "quick reply". Hit the "post reply" or "full editor" button and below the typing window you'll see a tab where you can upload an attachment. It should be self explanatory from there.
