Batmobile made in '64?

Post by rsaffle »

I found this image and it says the Batmobile was made in '64? I thought it was made a couple weeks prior to filming?

I've seen similar fan-made, 3D-printed nameplates on etsy for the Nostromo spaceship from Alien, Ghostbusters proton packs, and other fictional gadgets. I got one for a friend with specs for the jetpack from The Rocketeer. The design and workmanship were great, but the details were totally made up. :)

This is fan made for sure and they’re out by a year. Conversations between Greenway and Barris started in late august ‘65.

That was so smart of Barris to keep the rights and the car. I think that worked out for him pretty nicely. LOL
Thanks Ben.

Mine's an altered (photoshop) version of the one posted above it. I don't know how the ones that are advertised for sale are made.

Your changes to engine and transmission are perfect.
