The Journey Begins...(or What showed up at my door today)

Thanks to IAMBATMAN from the Board, I now have in my possession...

One used cowl. Manufactured in Argentina and modeled (or rather copied) after the great CW cowl.

one used Utility Belt from CY Productions.

and so the long journey begins to complete the look. It will probably take me months, if not at least a year, to complete a full '66 Batman cosplay. Maybe not by this Halloween/Carnival season but hopefully by 2023. My partner raised an eyebrow at how much I spent for these - which was really not as much as you would usually spend for these items as I really got a good deal. She asked me if this was a fulfillment of some childhood dream, and I instantly said, "yes!"

Looks good! I try to avoid thinking of the cost of everything I purchased to do a 66 Batman. I have a CY Productions belt too, and it's decent. Now that you can buy material directly from WilliamsStudio2, you should be able to save some money on the cape, trunks, tights, etc.

I'd suggest adding some foam pieces inside so it doesn't move around too much and your eyes are positioned correctly. I had a heck of a time with my cowl and had very limited peripheral vision. Yours seems to fit you pretty well so you may not have that problem.

Anyway, hope you have fun assembling the costume! Nothing quite like walking around in public with the whole suit and watching people's reaction.

It's amazing how quickly one goes from "probably won't have a full '66 Batman cosplay ready until next year" to "planning to have this completed before Halloween this year." Not going to do a full reveal just yet as I'm awaiting the arrival of the trunks (ordered from WS2) and the gloves (ordered from Evolution), but here's a sneak peek...
