Re: Batmobile in Austin Texas this weekend
This is one of 150-ish replicas in the world. There are dozens of differences between the #1 and most of the replicas out there, including this one: shape of the headlight bucket leading edges, shape of the nose, shape of the front grille buckets, it's missing the cable cutter blade split, the hood nostrils aren't cut open, the amber lenses are off the shelf instead of custom, the front wheels aren't inset enough, the stripes are the popular Torch Red instead of the screen accurate neon red/orange, the bottom front windshield chrome is missing, the front windshield corner brackets are missing, the wheel bats are too small, there is no chrome trim on the seat buckets, the seats appear to be vintage Mustang seats, and the radiator hangs out the bottom of the car.
None, repeat NONE of the above should be taken as dogging the car. All replicas, including mine, have differences compared to the #1. it is a nice replica and 99.9% of the people will ask the same question you did: Is this the real car from the show?
