Batman Visits

Post by Batman65 »

I wanted to share what I was able to do this past Halloween. I made an appearance at the daycare where my wife works on Halloween. I actually visited 6 different classrooms and had a ball. Those kids just loved it. Yesterday, my wife came home and gave me this huge card that the kids made for me, and it's really cool and BIG! I want to be respectful here in regards to posting pics with kids but I wanted to share this card with you guys. Scott and Ben, please let me know if this was ok to post.

Awesome! Having fun in costume is great, but it's always at it's most rewarding when you can brighten someone's day - especially young Bat-Fans!

Very cool. I love the way kids react to the 66 suit.

Oh, if you could have seen the look on their faces when I walked in..eyes wide open, jaws dropped, it was just priceless. Kids were giving me hugs and wanting to touch my cape, and asking me if I could fly..lol it was so much fun.

I always wonder who gets the most out of these visits, the kids or the person visiting them. Well done sir.

I'm amazed that kids today recognize that costume. With all of the movies showing Batman wearing molded black rubber "armor" I would think they would be confused by the classic look.

Thanks guys for the wonderful comments. My wife came home tonite and said they (kids) were talking about what they were thankful for, being that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. One kid answered that he was thankful that Batman came to see him. I guess I really did make an impression. The kids definitely recognize the classic Batman. After all, they do see the animated series, and he is blue and grey.

Batman: Brave and the Bold I'm Sure, is a big help in today's kids recognizing the Blue/Grey Classic costume as being a legitimate look for the Caped Crusader.
They may never have seen the '66 series but they see Batman in that look anyway.
