TerrifiCon 2017 - UPDATED pics!
This past August, I had the privilege of working with Terrificon and some pretty talented prop makers on the Adam West tribute at Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino in Conn.
What was supposed to be a celebration of the classic show, turned into more of a tribute to Adam West.
This included all 4 vehicles from the show, fan made (incredible) props and a tribute show in their cabaret theater that included a Q & A with Burt Ward and Lee Meriwether.
I was asked to put a little show together before and after the Q & A and before a showing of the Batman movie.
The show was to be reminiscent of the variety shows of the 60's, where Adam appeared and sang as Batman. It was a lot of fun. I sang the Sinatra song "Call Me" which Adam sang on the Dean Martin show and ended with "Ain't that a Kick in the Head" while pictures of villains appeared on the screen behind me. I changed some of the words and added villain names.
I also had the great opportunity to meet some excellent fellow members of this board. All in all... a Fantastic wknd that could only have been better if Adam was there to enjoy this tribute to his legacy.
Here are some pics from the rest of the con...

Don't know if it's my crappy laptop, but I can't see any of the attached images, nor those of the Wayne Family Crest thread either.

Hey Bob - i'm afraid Dropbox doesn't allow hot-linking anymore for hosting/posting images on external sites. I found this out the hard way a few months ago when sharing my SDCC photos. Any chance you can host them somewhere else (i.e. Photobucket, Flickr, Facebook) or shrink the file size and upload them directly to the board as attachments?BatBob wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2017 9:03 am This past August, I had the privilege of working with Terrificon and some pretty talented prop makers on the Adam West tribute at Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino in Conn.

Yep, that's exactly what happened to me on the SDCC thread - I could see them because I was logged into DropBox.
Thanks Bob!

Photobucket won't work anymore unless you pay $399 a year to them for hosting photos.

Perfect! Looking good at my end. Definitely a cool looking convention! Between the wall-climb, the signal and that amazing looking Bat-Computer replica, color me envious! Thanks for sharing!
