Fiberglass Freaks is pleased to announce that author Jim Beard will be a guest at our 15 Year Anniversary Comic Con on September 22nd, 2018, at the Logansport/Cass County Airport. Jim Beard became a published writer when he sold a story to DC Comics in 2002. Since that time he's written official Star Wars and Ghostbusters comic stories and contributed articles and essays to several volumes of comic book history. His prose work includes the novel SPIDER-MAN: ENEMIES CLOSER; co-editing and contributing to PLANET OF THE APES: TALES FROM THE FORBIDDEN ZONE; a story for X-FILES: SECRET AGENDAS; GOTHAM CITY 14 MILES, a book of essays on the 1966 Batman TV series; SGT. JANUS, SPIRIT-BREAKER, a collection of pulp ghost stories featuring an Edwardian occult detective; MONSTER EARTH, a shared-world giant monster anthology; and CAPTAIN ACTION: RIDDLE OF THE GLOWING MEN, the first pulp prose novel based on the classic 1960s action figure. Jim also currently provides regular content for Marvel.com, the official Marvel Comics website.

We're getting more exciting news by the day about potential Batfriends coming in from all over the country. It's looking like Troy, Chris, Dave W, Nick, Tony, Kathy, Alex, Buddy and Puff, and even John W will be making the trek to Logansport, Indiana, on September 22nd and 23rd to our comic con. Between the original, screen-used Batcopter, a replica Batcycle, our current Batmobile replica and our first replica, there will be plenty to see, too! It's quickly becoming THE mid-west 1966 Bat event, so you won't want to miss it!

I have more great news about our Batcon on September 22nd and 23rd--the Marymax Theater in Logansport, Indiana, has agreed to screen the "Batman vs. Two Face" animated movie at 8:30PM Saturday, the 22nd. The best part? It's free! It will be great to see it on the big screen.

The first of ten mannequins arrived today! We're planning to have some fantastic costumes on display for you to see. This one will be wearing a Catwoman costume at the con.
