Robins Go Kart on American Pickers tv show

Post by rsaffle »

The new episode of American Pickers tv show has a big segment about one of the original Robin Go Kart sidecars for the Batrcycle.
The owner wants $100,000 for it. He also had the hand drawn blueprints and it cost $250 to make in '66.

BTW, the owner also had the Munster's car, the Monkeemobile and several others.

No, His name is John and is in New Jersey.
The Robin go-kart is legit, the price is not!
The Munster Koach is not the #1, and I would need to see more photos of his Monkeemobile to see if it is one of the 2 builds by the Dean Jeffries Studio.

This was the #1 hero cart and one of 2 motorized. If I read correctly, According to Eric Seltzer who had this one mechanically restored, there were 4 built 2 motorized and 2 non motorized. Here is his webpage describing the Bat-Cycles and Robin's Go-Karts

Thanks, AP. It's been a hot-minute since I last read the in's and outs of the Batcycle stuff and I must admit the last time I looked at that page it was specifically to reaccquaint myself with the paint job on the #2 Yamaha that we saw in "A Riddling Controversy"/"Batman's Waterloo".
