Batman 66 Halloween costumes

Not to be a wet blanket here, but it's been my experience that once a costume is out, it's done. For example, all those Rubies "Deluxe" Star Wars costumes, like the Vader and the Stormtrooper, which were fraught with inadequacies, came out years ago and have not changed one iota since. Licenses change hands very infrequently - if a product doesn't sell well, than it is usually dropped altogether rather than have a different licensee pick it up. It's not IMPOSSIBLE, but unlikely. Changes to the product are even more unlikely, since product development is the manufacturer's single largest investment in the product.

So, if these sold well this year, they'll stick around for a while, and probably stay just the way they are (or, god forbid, get made of even CHEAPER materials!). If they didn't sell well, they will be dropped, and we likely won't see a replacement any time soon.

This would not have helped anyone very much - they are not the final production costumes. They are clearly only prototypes - many, many things are not the same as the real finished products that were sold.

And I don't think it's a lighting difference but the Bat-suit looks to be the appropriate shade of navy blue vs. the comic book blue they finally produced them in.

I hate to bring back a really old thread, but I have looked all over for the Batgirl costume in size small, and I can't find it online anywhere! Do any retailers still offer it, or is there any word on whether there will be a restock of these costumes to retailers?

Hi Crystal, Just thought I would let you know that even the small is a bit on the large size. I have a 50CM waist and I 'float' inside the costume.

Thanks for the info! Just ordered. I'm planning to find under garments to get that cinched shape and have to alter it to fit me anyway, everything is always too big. I thought of looking for a large child size, but figured it wouldn't be cut right for me. But I've wanted this costume my whole life and simply can't afford the amazing replica handmade ones so I hope with a few alterations to make this one both Comicon and New Orleans Halloween friendly!

Have any of you tried to dye the blue pieces of the Batman costume a darker blue? Ive got the Mattel mask and would like the pieces to match a little better. What shade would you use? Its polyester. Would it even work or will i mess it up if I attempt it.
