That is a gorgeous custom! Ive never seen these, and am not familiar with them.

Id wager someone is selling to trade in for the new Hot Toys.

The packaging and presentation on this is beautiful. I hope the seller has an extra one to hold onto, because even if Hot Toys bests this in terms of likeness, this is still a handmade work of art that someon seems to have put a lot of love into.

I bought an Adam West Batman from Classic Plastick about ten years ago and it has held an honored place in my collection. At the time, I mentioned to the craftsman that it would probably be the last Batman figure I would ever need. Of course, I had no reason to believe this version of the character would ever be produced commercially. Still, I have high regard for the quality that went into these customs and while I will order the Hot Toys version, I won't part with my custom any time soon.

BTW, at the time, I paid less than a third of the auction price.

Is it 1/6 scale? Or is it Mego sized?

1/6 scale. Wes helped with my build documented on the old site under crafts. Great guy!

I got my Classic Plastick AW version more than 10 years ago from Wes. Very impressed by his craftsmanship.
Have to say this item has a price tag I personally find way too high - particularly in light of what I paid back then ... but I guess since Wes is no longer in the market, it has become a collector's piece.
Pity it has to compete with the new Sideshow edition!
Take acre all,
Terry

Even with the HT coming, I'd love one of these, but just not at that price.

It makes me curious about what Hot Toys will do with the packaging.

In a world with or without Hot Toys and their offerings, I will always love my Wes figure. I hope this one goes to a good home!

Agree with Aussie, that price is way too high.

Wes' figs are awesome, but when you can get a HT Adam (which is also limited) for less than a third of that price, well, that eBayer should rethink his asking price if he truly wants to move it. Especially now that eBay is packed with pre-order auctions of the HT edition using those high quality pix HT released....

whatever happened to Wes? Is he still in the custom game or did he retire from it?

Wow, at first I thought this wasn't a custom but a real store-bought Bat-figure I missed out on. Amazing!
