Might be a 50th anniversary edition for std Blu Ray. Mattel has nothing on WB or DC.
That said, I caved and bought the Adam West naked DVD. It is nice to see these actors get their due within their lifetime.

I can't believe that Burt is not mentioned with the extras.

Best Buy and Amazon still at $267. I pre-ordered from BB to get the reward zone points.

Have you watched it yet? If so, can you provide a short review?Szabol wrote:That said, I caved and bought the Adam West naked DVD. It is nice to see these actors get their due within their lifetime.

The DVD set has dropped back to $149.99 now on Amazon. I think I'm still sticking with the Blu Ray.

Just pre-ordered from Amazon for $193 (which included shipping). Really hope there isn't a "special" special edition coming that hasn't been mentioned yet....

I just pre-ordered the Blu-Ray box set! This is something I have waited for my whole life. I'm going to spend this November and December being a kid again! I'm in the holiday spirit now just thinking about it!! God bless us, everyone!!

Just ordered it. I was not sure how much would be repeated on the blu ray.Bookworm wrote:Have you watched it yet? If so, can you provide a short review?Szabol wrote:That said, I caved and bought the Adam West naked DVD. It is nice to see these actors get their due within their lifetime.

Looking again at the set the one thing I find that I'm not big on are the books and DVD holder covers as the single color overlays really take away from all the characters' looks. There's nothing like seeing Joker's red, white and green appearance which is now under a glowing fog of red. They're trying too hard for the '60s "surrealistic" effect and not even coming close. If you weren't there - then please don't even try!

Anxious to see if Lesley Gore's "Maybe Now" song will be included or cut.
Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!
They're claiming "completely uncut", so I'm assuming MAYBE NOW will be there....
It better be, dag nab it!

How anyone could complain about confirmed UNCUT remastered episodes on Blu-Ray for a little over a buck an episode (I just pre-ordered it for $189...it's back) of a show that they've been waiting years for is beyond me. Anything extra is a complete gift.
I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the In-Color bumpers that many of you wanted were confirmed today, as well.

I don't think anyone is complaining about the fact that we have confirmed uncut episodes. Warner is the one that chose to hype the release and tell us what the bonus content was, and that's the source of the discontent being expressed. I see that as a separate thing entirely.
Truthfully, I would have been much happier if it had been released with *no* bonus content, if that's all Warner was going to do. Or if they'd announced it without any of the hoopla.

The only bonus content I care about is commentaries...I hope we get lots of them.
