FTC Announces Wave 2 and Yvonne Craig!

Post by Hedji »

Figures Toy made a seismic announcement in an interview released yesterday. An enormous variety of DC Mego style figures plus an announcement of Wave 2

Egghead
Penguin
Bruce Wayne
Dick Grayson

And... Batgirl is coming!
Wait... you have approval for Batgirl Yvonne Craig?

We've already made the head sculpt.

Awesome sauce! Initially, you spoke about both 8-inch and 12-inch figures. Is that still the plan?

Just 8-inch for now and we have been approved for 18 inch. We have made an 18-inch Mego Body

Who do you have in store for Series 2?

Egghead, Penguin, Dick Grayson, and Bruce Wayne.

Great news! The pics of series 1 look great. I can't wait for these all to be released so they can come and live on my expanding 66 Batman shelf!
We thought we'd have to teach our son about the world. Turns out we have to teach the world about our son. They see a boy who cannot speak. We see a miracle who doesn't need words.

I am sooooo down for a Yvonne Craig Batgirl!

I wonder if they are going to do a Barbara Gordon figure as well? THAT would be great!

And if they do Superman, which Lois Lane should get made? Noel Neill, or Phyllis Coates?

Are they seriously doing a George Reeves Superman lot? Or just wishful thinking??
I'd have to go with Noel Neill - she has been such an ambassador throughout her life for the Superman legend, whereas Phyllis chose to keep her distance from the show.
Cheers,
Terry

I emailed FTC yesterday to see if they have an in house store...this was their reply, "Hi
you can pick something up at our warehouse. No actual store but we can show you around".
Their located in Tampa so I'll try to make the trip in the next couple of months.

I'm looking forward to the Batgirl figure, myself.

As long as they don't cop out and give her molded rubber hair (EW!), I will be a very happy customer!

Of course, for the Barbara Gordon identity, she will have to have black hair, but that's just me being a bit nitpicky.

As long as the sculpt is accurate without being boring or bland looking, that's fine.
