I still have my first edition. An absolutely invaluable resource to any Batfan!

I have the official Batbook, and yes, I can proudly say it is autographed by Burt Ward when he came to Green Bay back in the very late 80s. :)

All right so WAAAY back when the Hot Toys Batman '66 figure came out a bunch of you were urging me to join you in the madness of buying a Tony Mei suit to replace the one Hot Toys had provided, I rolled my eyes at how crazy you guys are for going to that kind of trouble on a figure that I thought already looked great.

Okay, so time goes by and I look at the Hot Toys figure everyday and I'm going to be honest, it always underwhelmed me. I thought the 18" Neca was so much better even with the strange stomach joint.

SO I went ahead and got a Tony Mei suit (and cape), changed it and I cannot believe how much better it looks. It looks AMAZING. The shoulder seams are right, the logo is right and now the color is right. It knocks it out of the park! Excuse the bad photo taken early with my phone but man what a difference!

I apologize to all of you to whom I was rolling my eyes-- you were right!

Mike-- I laughed at the same thing when I was doing it, of course friends stopped by right while I was in the middle of it so I got some strange looks.

Larry-- I got it at Newbury Comics at the register, they're pretty close to the real deal. When I have a free minute I'm going to spray paint it silver although it probably won't work anymore when I do it (it lights up and makes noise). If you need one I'll check the next time I'm near one, I don't think Newbury is out by you, but any novelty shop should have it.

Thanks for the offer, Andy. After reading Your answer, I realized that I recognized it. I found that I already had one in a Winter coat pocket......don't ask, I don't know WHAT it was doing there. I bought it last Halloween for an aborted project.

My Best to You and Your Good Lady,
Larry
