It really shouldn't even have the regular 60s logo from the comics on it either, the chest emblem is from the 80s, while the facemark screams 1973 Super Friends. WB Licensing is a mess with "vintage" Batman right now. Same thing Universal did with its classic monsters line waaaaay back in the early 90s.

That's my Classick Plastick Batman from Wes back in the day. Still one of my favourite items in my collection. It embodies all of the DIY goodness that we were stoked to have in this community in the wilderness years before we saw a single official piece of merch, let alone DVDs.

I just won on Ebay
The Mego Comic Action Heroes Batmobile!

(The leg room is not deep enough for the taller straight-leg Pocket Heroes figures that came later….

I’m not sure they ever did a car for the later series)

Here it is with the slightly larger Funko Batmobile from a few years ago….

And here it is with the other Batmobile in my collection…

I had a pretty good haul this morning, between a couple of Targets and a Walmart. I bagged the Tiny TV for $11

At the risk of writing the same post three times (having some odd issues with the board)--- Love that Comic Action Batmobile-- got a lot of play value out of that-- more so than with even the full size Mego's which often fell apart with the vigorous play we put them through. Not so the Comic Action figures- they could take it-- even if we thought they had odd poses.

Ben- I THOUGHT that might be a Wes figure-- it was a prized possession of mine and I only gave it up to a friend who got ill and had always admired it so I included it in a gift basket. I've since re-ordered one from Wes and will have it back in my collection soon I hope. I think it stands with the Hot Toys figure-- and it has the charm of actually being a toy rather than a shrunk down copy of Adam himself.

That was a super nice thing to do! It also warms my heart that Wes is still making these figures. I haven't spoken to him in a long-while, I really need to reach out. I'd love to see your new Classick Plastick when it arrives!

Speaking of custom figures, there's another batch of Rick Ratto figures that have just hit eBay. They have a similar charm to Wes' work too, definitely make me sentimental about the early part of my time in this fandom.

Picked up Batman and Superman Ben Cooper costumes. For $20 each, it was a steal

Another one of those "place a low-ball offer on a poorly described eBay lot". I snagged this box of Target exclusive Funko items for less than half of what the boxed set retailed for.

Picked up this week an original first edition Corgi Batmobile, the flat black version,

very pleased to find an example that is very near mint and has not been restored or mucked around with
