I love that Corgi Batmobile.

Here is my latest pickup.
I only recently discovered this. It is a promotional comic from a Canadian Department store that was supposedly only available in Canada. It is ostensively to promote literacy. Honestly, it was goofy but was more entertaining than it should be. It was written by Len Wein with interior art by Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson. The main plot is the Joker is stealing rare books and the plot finally reveals that he's looking for a dead that will make him the owner of a large section of North America. Batman defeats the Cowboy-clad Joker at a rodeo at the end. Cover is by Carmine Infantino. Comic is from 1992 and has some adds for Batman Returns merchandise in it.

Nice find. Would have been cool if they had used The Bookworm from the TV show.

That’s beautiful Mike. If I was younger, i’d Get one too. At this point I’m shedding big stuff preparing for a downsized home.

My latest acquisition was this issue (#7) of DC's "Solo" comic book, which contains the surreal Batman '66 story "Batman A-Go-Go!"

Image

The story originally was published in 2005 and is included in 2018's Batman '66 Omnibus containing all 30 issues (and the "lost episode" Two-Face adaptation) of the main comic book series, but since I already had all of those (in hardback volumes), I didn't see the need to spend the $$$ on the large volume just to get that one story.

Picked this up from a preorder at GameStop yesterday. Naturally I ripped it out of the box and placed on the Silver Age shelf.

So I finally found something to use my “Zing! Pop Culture” retirement gift card from my work colleagues! I did covet this Batsignal lamp at full price, but the Australian store was having a discount day - and I needed a new bed lamp. Perfect timing!
