So we're just a week away from the release--
Who's getting the Blu Ray and Who's sticking with plain ol' DVD?

Bluray all the way. I was expecting the bluray set to be $250 so I was thrilled when it originally was announced under $200.

My wife, who is infinitely smarter than I am, has gotten sick of me whining about the Box Art on the Blu not being "as good" as the Box Art on the DVD. I canceled my DVD order and switched over to BLU-- I CAN MAKE A NEW BOX FOR IT! D'oh!

Anything new that's available on blu ray, I buy on blu ray. My br player upconverts dvds, but it's still not as good a picture as a blu ray. Can't wait to see the show on my 60 inch screen!

I've got both! I'll be converting the DVD set to place on the old IPad and replace the ABC masters.

BLU RAY ALL THE WAY! Why settle for less than the best quality when we've all been waiting for the best quality for so very long?! I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IT ON MY 70 INCH TV!! IT IS GOING TO BE LIKE WATCHING IT FOR THE 1ST TIME AGAIN!!

Andy:

I am not going to worry about the box! I plan to take all of the contents out of the box and throw the box away!!!! I am going to put the episodes in their cases with all my other DVD's. I am going to put on the bookshelf the episode guide and other "book-like" goodies. I will find a nice place to display the Batmobile and the trading cards. The box is irrelevant to me.

Blu all the way. I had a feeling we'd have seen a pre-release review by now, but so far nothing that I've come across.

Blu on this for sure.

I'm sure the DVD will look great, but if the Star Trek TOS blu's are any indication of what can be done with a nearly 50 year old television show we are all in for a real big treat.
