Any word on the release dates for the Figures Toys Next Wave

Post by TravelSteveR » Sun Feb 22, 2015 7:44 pm

It should include Newmar Catwoman, Preminger Mr. Freeze, Mc Dowall Bookworm, and Buono King Tut. I don't like to complain, but there have been too many variants--tied up Batman and Robin? I love the Mad Hatter from the last wave--he's spot-on!

given the pattern of Batman and Robin in every wave, I bet it only includes two of those villains. Mego Museum is now the exclusive news source for FTC. Every Friday a new announcement, last week it was Scooby Doo, week before it was Super Friends Robin and Gleek.

The tied-up Batman and Robin were something else! The way I see it those were about as innovative as a left-handed monkey wrench or a bucket of steam. All one has to do is buy the initial figures and then build a table out of plastic, cardboard, wood, or whatever and then get some string. But, that's just how I see it... :P

I skipped the removable mask Robin and the Batman with the new head sculpt from the last wave. I love the Shame and Hatter figures, two more villains would have been nice. I hope there isn't yet another Batman and Robin variant in the next wave!

Somewhere down the road we should see Batgirl, and perhaps Alfred and Aunt Harriett, as well as Barbara Gordon, Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara.

I can see Batgirl, Alfred, and two bad guys in a wave, then Barbara, the commissioner and two more bad guys, finally Chief O'Hara, Aunt Harriett and two bad guys - unless they make an exclusive two pack of each of the named figures
a) Batgirl and Barbara
b) Alfred and Aunt Harriet
c) Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara

Who knows what what their product planners are up to...

I think, judging by the stuff we have seen released so far, the license agreement does not extend to the following:
- Neil Hamilton/Commissioner Gordon
- Stafford Repp/ Chief O'Hara
- Madge Blake/Aunt Harriet

I believe that they (DC/Warners) worked out the license agreement for Alan Napier/Alfred sometime in the first year Batman '66 comic was published.

Hope they work them all out. Would love to see a Buzzy & Duke 2 pack!

^^ Add to that Liberace and Roger Carmel. The comics used the characters but not the likenesses.

There is a Commissioner Gordon figure, but it is generic, not Neil Hamilton.

that's for the 70s repro line. The sculptor of the line mentioned Hamilton and Stafford Repp getting done. They've shown Premminger's headsculpt and have mentioned Bookworm being far a long so I am guessing those two might be next.
