Mego BatCave to be reissued by Figures Toy Co.

Honestly, can retro merchandising get any better? This could probably be easily customized as a display for their 66 figure line, too!

Wow, and are they asking about the Wayne Foundation and the classic Mego Batmobile. Too cool for school.

Man, I'll be all over this like (as Seinfeld's Kramer would say) stink on a monkey! If they go one step further and eventually issue the Wayne Foundation Tower then I'll be all over that one even more!

I actually had that. Oh the memories! I loved the light up
Bat signal. Never had the batmobile though.

I had all the Mego stuff aside from the Joker and Batman van.

I even had the Wayne Foundation but got rid of it (due to missing pieces) about 20 years ago. I was the only kid in my neighborhood who had it.

I still have the Bat-signal from the Mego Batcave though.

B.M.,

Being that you were lucky enough to have the Wayne Foundation (as it was expensive back in 1975 at $15.00 - a little over $65.00 in today's money  ) I'll bet you were "The Kid" on the block being super-popular, right? :) I remember back in 1976 my friend living in back of me had everything and I mean EVERYTHING! His bedroom was a veritable toy store and the neighborhood "place to be".

I still say these things are ultra-cool!

Yep, a lot of my friends had the Megos (even the Aquaman shark but I never cared for him so that didn't bother me) but I had almost all of the Bat items. They constantly wanted to come over and play with it.

I was "the baby" of our family so to say I was spoiled is a bit of an understatement. This is probably why both of my kids are spoiled (which I try not to do).

I was always curious what those things cost back in the 70s. I know the figures had price tags of $1.98 or $2.98 but I wasn't sure about the vehicles and play sets.

Oh, and the Wayne Foundation had a sliding bookcase too. :)
