Here's a blast from the past, HAHA!

We are building the Batgirl costume to work with this vintage bra for that "pointy" look.
It makes all the difference. The prototype costume bodice was looking very vintage and correct.

We have sourced a manufacturer and will be making these available for purchase.

It is a whole new world here in the shop!

Chuck,

It all seems to beg the question: Whose baby are you?

Wow!!
If they release Wonder Woman on Blu-Ray, you'll have to hire a few extra people! Ha!
But, seriously, if you need some help with a booth at SDCC this year ( or any year) I live near by and I'd be glad to help out!

Ship 'em ALL! We're gonna take 'em out a WHOLE NEW DOOR!

Well I think we have decided on our textile colors!

I don't have to tell Scott what a pain photographing these colors are!!!

I think we found the best balance in all the colors shifting in different lighting as we've seen her costume shift.

The buckle was a hasty paint job to fulfill my curiosity! It's a dark purple background that will probably be lightened a hair at the end of the day.

I knew that once you get into this stuff that the answers tend to reveal themselves.

I think the bat was attached separately because it's a heck of a lot easier to paint that way.

My painted assembled buckle was pretty messy and the thought of trying to mask it wasn't very appealing.
No matter how careful I was it just wasn't looking right.
Then I noticed that the sides of the bat were yellow. To mask this would almost be impossible.
That's when it dawned on me that to spray it and then attach would be much faster and cleaner.

I think that explains the pins coming through the buckle.
As soon as my paint cures I'll know for sure.

In paint.

The bat is SOOOOO much easier to paint this way!

I plan to hand paint the background color and with any luck, that will be it!

Yes that's the ticket. A 3 piece buckle.

Have you considered riveting the pegs, or threading them, or will you bend them like the original

I'll be bending them like the originals.
The material is too thin to do much of anything else.

Here is the look I was after!!!

It's on Lynnes list.
Right now she's slogging through some wedding dresses, 'tis the season, and ComiCon stuff for DC as well as filling orders.
She has already made some observations of the cowl that has made me very excited to see her Batgirl cowl!!

The hooks for the back of the painted buckles are on backorder but as soon as the arrive I can get these out.
It's always makes me smile to know that the first run is probably more than were made for the show!!

I'll keep you posted,
Chuck...
