bet its Newmar and Kitt will be an exclusive somewhere. Or maybe they plan to do 6 waves and False Face will round this one out with catwoman being the anchor for 6.

I think the cowl version is totally fun. It is what it is. Maybe they should have made the plastic/rubber more thin near the neckline like the Barbie Ken cowl version?

If you remember the removable cowl Batman that Mego put out in the early 70's, it too was oversized. It has to be in order to fit over the head of the figure easily.

Personally I think this has a lot of the original Mego charm, and the FTC figures have become my all-time favorite Batman '66 collectible line. I only wish they would have matched the paint of the cowl to the gloves and trunks a little better. But I'm still buying it!

I had the Captain Action Batman which was an odd 2-piece cowl. Here's a pic comparing it to both the removable & fixed Mego cowls.

I love both the removable cowl memo and the Captain Action so this oversized cowl means not a whit to me. Although its a prototype, it's already a vast improvement over their fixed version, which I think is the worst figure in the line. These aren't hot toys, but they're fun!

I just hope we can buy these as stand alone figures, and as a set. Who doesn't want two of these?

The cowl is big but not as ridiculously big as the helmets for the Mego-style Galactica figures from a couple years back.

If anything it's more off-putting that (1) the sculpt looks nothing like Adam and (2) never once did we see the character in costume with his cowl off. I'm not sure what the point of this fig is, really, but I'm happy for the fans who dig it.

Well, I could see the removable cowl Batman being marketed as "General Electric presents... Blue Light Bulb Head Batman!" Still, it's kinda cool and I'll pick it up just the same.

I do find the sculpt doesn't look at all like Adam West, rather it way more resembles Mike Henry who was Kowalski in John Wayne's The Green Berets and Jackie Gleason's dopey deputy son in Smokey and the Bandit.
