The newest wave is up for pre-order at BBTS with a sizable price hike- now $35 a figure. Wish the Otto Freeze came with a gun.

Might not have his gun but he does have the back pack.

at FTC's site they went up to 29.99. I was hoping BBTS would be cheaper, oh well. Guess they want me to buy less figures.

Series five is up for preorder at Figures Toy Company-- the big headed removable mask Batman which I think is better than the original release, although I still hate the sweatsuit material costume-- Batgirl, Babs and O'Hara are said to ship in April.

They have the Mr Freeze wave in sealed bags, no cards for $24 apiece at the FTC website!
I'm going to wait on every wave like this.
and check out http://tmmello1965.wix.com/fanmade

Nice after market stuff.

Well Batman arrived, and I think he's a VAST improvement over the initial Batman figure. I know some of you hate the bubble head effect of the removeable cowl, but I couldn't stand the head sculpt on the original or the fact that his belt was too small to fall to just above his shorts-- it was constantly riding up.

THIS one is SOO much better-- the belt is a new larger design that actually fits and I am SO much happier with the markings and the style on the cowl. I think with a sculpted head there's not a lot of ways to make the eyes look right without just putting a couple of black dots in the center of white.

This works and I think it looks better in person than in the pre-release photos. Maybe I'll have to get a Batgirl to complete my set.
I got this, as I do all my figures in this line, from Figures Toy Company directly.

Andy,
Will you be swapping heads if a better West becomes available?
What do you think about mixing that outfit wit one of the first appearance figures to create a screen test West?
How would it look on Alfred?

Hey Lou
Nope, I switched out the head on my original Batman figure and I still didn't like the result. This one is good enough for me. I'm a fan of removeable cowls because that's the first Mego Batman I ever had waaaaay back in 1972.

It would probably fit fine on Alfred, but these costumes are nearly sewed on so they are tough to take on and off-- and my days of dressing and redressing dolls are over. There's also the issue that Batman has the built in boots and gloves while Alfie has real hands and feet, so you'd have to figure that out somehow.
