I'd go with #1 too, it has a more weathered and used look, like it's been on top of police HQ for years. #2 is cool too, but looks a bit too new.
If you look at the pic of the Batsignal with chief O'Hara you can see the edge looks more grey than black

I vote for #1 too. Weathered and offers details not visible in sold flat black.

Brilliant. FTC should contract you for the drawings.

MAYBE if the base wasn't so dark 3, but #1 looks cool

Yea dodgr #1 it is I believe.. even my 5 year old son said "dad, that one ( referring to # 1 ) looks like the old classic batman
