This small scaled one I might not b able to hide all electronics in the base, so it might be external. I'm also playing with the idea of the led flashing

Fantastic! Any chance you could make that phone for either Mego 1:9 or HT 1:6 scale and hide the electronics?

Check with Evan Designs. They make small 2 or 3mm flashing LEDs. The flashing unit is very small and is built right into the wiring. It may fit in that base. I have used these in model railroad applications and in my 1/32 batmobile slot car. They have very small wires and are easy to hook up and look GREAT!

You won't regret it, and they are very affordable. I think that would be the perfect application for your bat phone. Let me know if it works for you.

Actually for those here on the board, the Evan Design led kits are perfect for lighting up just about any scale batmobile. They have amber, flashing red and fire circuits. Check them out guys.
