Batman '66 meets The Avengers
Not the Marvel Avengers but the STeed & Mrs Peel from the 60s TV show (which even celebrated Batman '66 in the episode "The Winged Avenger").

Anyone excited for this?

This should be a great cult-crossover.

Re: Batman '66 meets The Avengers
I have 4 of the Steed and Mrs Peel trades and they are ok. not as good as the series obviously with most inspiration coming from the infamous "A Touch of Brimstone" episode. However the Batman '66 writers tell a good story. I wonder which Bat villain they will use. I'm hoping it's not the Joker as he has been overused in the comic and was central to the Green Hornet crossover. The Penguin or Riddler would fit in perfectly.

I wouldn't be surprised if Catwoman is the villainess!

I also don't see why there'd be only 1 baddie in this series - Riddler would be a great companion villain along with Catwoman.

Why not Fogg?
There are so many potential crossover stories from the Avenger series. Perhaps a mission to save the Prisoner?

Citizens,
Sandman was a European villain. The question that interests me is which of Mr. Steed and Mrs. Peel's foes will be featured. Cybernauts anyone?

Sandman would be good.
Catwoman Vs Mrs Peel would be great.
I think I thought of Penguin as he would be a good match for Steed being a gentleman's villain.
Hopefully they don't stick to just 2 villains as with the Green Hornet crossover.

Re: Batman '66 meets The Avengers
so, what other crossovers could they do? Star Trek comes to mind, a trip to Japan to meet Ultraman would be a good one, too.
To the Bat-Elephant!!

George Reeves Superman!
Re: Batman '66 meets The Avengers
I assume a crossover with Wonder Woman 77 is a done deal already.

Absolutely. I've always thought they'd make a purrrrfect couple...!Batfanman wrote:I also don't see why there'd be only 1 baddie in this series - Riddler would be a great companion villain along with Catwoman.

Anyone know when this is coming out?
Re: Batman '66 meets The Avengers
I like the Cybernauts idea. Not only are they great villains from the series, but they might help ground the comic (compared to throwing too many larger-than-life, colorful characters into one story). Lord Death Man would be cool re: Batman villains. Avengers is my fave show (closely followed by Batman and The Prisoner), but I've yet to see the characters make a good transition to comic form. It's hard to capture the sharp intelligence, charm, warmth, and sense of fun the actors brought to the roles. But fingers are crossed!
