My new Batman costume

Post by floatinjoe »

A few weeks ago, I came across a Batman costume up for sale on eBay. With a title of "Batman costume 1966 Tv series "Authentic" wear, I was excited, but a little hesitant when I clicked on it (I've encountered a number of Rubies costumes with titles like that). Upon opening the auction, I was pleasantly surprised by a costume containing of a number of Williams Studios2 pieces, along with a set of Duran boots... and everything was just about my size! I looked at the pictures, and I recognized the photo from the forum. Turns out the auction was by our own batjonsey36 (Doug). I shot him a few quick questions and placed a bid. By an amazing miracle, I was the only bidder on the auction, and was quite excited to have won.

The auction consisted of: WS2 50th Anniversary Edition Cowl #1, WS2 tights, WS2 chest emblems, WS2 trunks, Duran boots, a Renato belt, and custom made gloves and cape. This was an amazing find, and my wife and I are beyond excited to have this, and the timing is perfect. Our son is having his 4-year-old superhero birthday party in a few weeks, and if I can have his utility belt made in time, Batman will make an appearance to present it to him.

The costume fits well. If I lose the pounds that I should be losing anyway, the costume will look even better. I have one of Chucks's buckles and have been hoping to make my own belt. Now that I have a costume, maybe I'll get around to it. And someday I'll upgrade the gloves, but this is absolutely awesome.

Many thanks to Doug for putting together this opportunity for another fan. Great guy, and I'd be more than happy to do business with him again.

Mike

Can't post this without a picture. Took awhile to get one since we're keeping the costume a secret from Jack. We were able to snap a few this morning while he was at school.

Wow! Love the costume!
We thought we'd have to teach our son about the world. Turns out we have to teach the world about our son. They see a boy who cannot speak. We see a miracle who doesn't need words.

First Im glad it went to a good home. My son has just gotten into UCLA next fall and it's a pretty penny so I've had to liquidate alot of my hockey card collecton, memorabilia and Batman stuff! Looks great!

Thank you for the kind words and I am glad we got to work everything out to both sides being happy!

You look AWESOME!!!!

I was kind of thinking exactly what Ben posted. BatJonsey, you assembled a great looking suit. Have a great time with the suit. You wear it well.

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations and compliments. BatJonsey did assemble an amazing costume. I'm sorry that he had to part with it, but glad it made its way into our home. It will definitely be enjoyed here.
