A visitor to the shop and a look around the joint.
Hi All,
We had a famous visitor come by the shop this week. Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry , the country /western group. They were playing in the local music festival and Troy took time to come by to get measured for a 66 Bat costume.
Super nice guy and the keyboard player Eddie K, another great guy, was with him along with Zipper the driver. Coincidentally Zipper is also our puppy's name!
We saw the show later and talked Batman for almost 3 hours in his tour bus after the show.
We're planning lots more Bat stuff for him so we'll get to stretch our creative muscles a bit to cover more Bat looks for him. It was an incredible day!
You'll get to see Lynne and around the shop a bit. You'll also see I've been eating too many cookies this past Winter!
That's what happens when your wife is a fantastic baker and there's a ton of snow outside!
Enjoy!!

What a great story! That should drum up some additional business for you guys.
How fun to see where our beloved WS2 items are made.
Chuck, I see you're a fan of Don Post and Warren/Creepy/Eerie also.
I have quite a collection of stuff, especially masks. We should compare notes someday when you're not too busy.

That was a fun watch, congrats Chuck and Lynne

Very cool piece. Nice to see how your work is created.

Re: A visitor to the shop and a look around the joint.
Thanks Guys!
It was fun and it certainly made for an exciting day!
HUGE Don Post fan! I just could never afford to get them back in the day. My creature is a vintage Bill Malone sculpt from the late 70's and the Mr. Hyde is a reissue. Funny that both these characters (my favorites) were designed by the same person. Millicent Patrick.
Vampi, Famous Monsters, Creepy and Eerie were all on my reading list in the 70's.
Would love to see your collection MC5!
It was fun talking to Troy about the 66 Bat. He is very knowledgeable about the modern movies, games and stories. His tour bus has comic Batman posters everywhere.
We're hoping to get to create more custom looks in the future with him. He has the right build to carry off just about any Bat look.
It was a grand day out of the shop!
For those interested, here are more images of the shop where we sew and cast the cowls.

Awesome clip, and cool to see the TV station is sharing a 50th Anniversary with our show.
Also fun to hear the voice-over on the commercial before the report. My wife's roots are in Minnesota, so that accent always brings a smile.

This is great to see. You deserve ALL the positive press you get. One day I hope to join the ranks of the owners of your work. Until then, I'll just sit here and smile seeing you bring joy to so many people.
I'm on Instagram as kustomjeff if you want to see more toy pics and some motorcycle stuff too.
