Thanks for letting us know. I like the pose and the serious look, but I don't like the black cape etc...why? It's serious so the costume is black? Ok....

Its a hybrid of the old show and the newer "Dark Knight" concept. Honestly I think the original 39 Batman was Black and Gray. And like Black hair at the time, they inserted blue highlights i.e. Lois Lane, Clark Kent.
This one just took my DC Direct Batman Statue money... LOL

Honestly, I kind of like it, but I don't know why anyone would spend that kind of money on a look that never appeared on screen.
Then again, we didn't get a color TV until 1978, so this is kind of how he looked to me most of my childhood.

"You were right again, Batman. We might have been killed."
"Or worse. Let's go..."

Sprangfan, You are absolutely right. I remember seeing Batman in Color for the first time with the Hot Air Balloon episode in a Sears store. All the TVs were tuned to ABC. Before and after - Nothing but Black and White during 1966 to 1968,
This would be nice next to Chuck's Black cowl.... that was my first thought when I saw it.
I'll have to make a new base with the two Batmen facing each other - Batman from TV Earth 2

They should have done either all black and white, or the pink cowl version. This just seems like they are trying to unload extra stock. To be honest, had they done an all Black and white version of both Batman and Robin, I would have got this.
