There was a larger 3/4 body shot, but the file was too big to download. I don't know how to compress it. here is a link to the page: http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forum ... toys+joker

Penguin too??? Omg, besides the Batmobile, Joker and Penguin were the two figures I wanted most. Is he close to be shown? They should come out together like Batman and Robin did.

Okay, I'm about to take a big chance here.
Please, don't throw stones,....

When I first saw the Hot Toys Batman & Robin, my jaw dropped.
I was like, OMG! They looked like photos of the actors, not like figures.
I'm just not feeling it with this Joker figure.
Maybe it's just me, maybe it's just the photos, I'm not sure.

OK - the first thing that crossed my mind looking at the photos was:
"is the suit the correct shade of purple/lavender?"
After everyone's frustration with the FTC suit, I just hope Hot Toys have got it right! :)

Could be just the photos. Being lit from beneath like that can throw things off. Also, one of the strong points of the HT figures is the realistic paint jobs on flesh; the subtle mottling and tiny little spots that make the faces look like they're covered with real, human skin. You can't have that with Cesar in his "whiteface." (Although you could try and replicate the "caked on" look in some spots, or visible pores in others. I think having the light shine on the chin like that might be making the whole sculpt look smoother and more "plastic" than it would in different lighting)

Anyway, am I crazy or didn't I hear the Batman and Robin figs didn't sell in the numbers they expected? Kind of surprised, really, that Hot Toys is dipping deeper into the well. Good for them, though.

Either way, it doesn't matter much to me. I don't have that kind of cash to throw around.

What I'm really wondering about is that line up of "alternate costumes." Considering we never saw anything like that on the show, I wonder how much they expect to sell it for (or if each one is a separately sold figure?! In which case, good luck).
"You were right again, Batman. We might have been killed."
"Or worse. Let's go..."

My understanding (and language is always an issue) is that the Atomic Pile and the alternate costumes are just part of the display for the event and there are no plans for production. But it wouldn't be the first time I've misunderstood.

There is also a Lee Catwoman that looked amazing in the sculpting stage-- their license is for the movie only (again my understanding) hence the dehydration machine on Cesar's back.
