No regrets on deciding to pass on this or the Mattel line.

Licensing rights aren't defined for the Malachi Throne Estate.

But, as I said, "Classic TV Toys" do sell the False Face mask in perfect scale to the 8" figures. It's a very easy custom to make. Put the mask on Egbert!

I'm with Yellow Oval on the Evel Adventure Bike-- it was my most beloved toy of the 70s, and I had the Scramble van too. That thing was the coolest, you put it in a winder which was a small ramp and you cranked the heck out of it and then let it go and that thing would fly off and jump whatever challenge you put in front of him.

I think they even made a stunt rocket around the time of Evel's Snake River Canyon jump, which led to the end of his fame.

Looks like a tie. I like the fact that they recolored Cesar's hair for this one.

While not "Batman '66", FTC has also released the comics' Betty Kane Bat-Girl in their 7" "Teen Titans" series! She looks great! Scroll down at:

Just spotted that! A nice touch on such a niché variant.

I know these variants aren't to everyone's taste, but I can't help but find some joy in the fact that we live in a world where we have such things as Maharajah of Nimpah and Cousin Eggy action figures.

Variants always bugged me back to my Star Wars days in the 70s. I am eager to see the henchmen 4 packs.

My general rule for Playmates' "Star Trek" variants was to only get double-ups on figures that were essentially another character, such as a regular character disguised as an alien, Holodeck costumes, younger/older timeline figures, etc.

So with "Batman '66", I was tempted by Suited Riddler (and customized the first one into John Astin), eventually was tempted to get Bruce, Dich and Barbara, made my own Pink Cowl Batman when the removable cowl Batman came in a set of four, and I've ordered Eartha's Catwoman, and Maharajah Joker.

As much as I love Egghead, the version of him as the Delivery Boy just wasn't different enough. Ditto King Tut in surgical scrubs and Mad Hatter in disguise.

Different actor is one thing, but Surgery Tut, Jail Shame, etc don't do it for me. Give me Clock King or Louie the Lilac.

Did get Julie today along with a False Face mask, and that is what it is, so I wonder why they went so far as to get masks made up but no further? Malachi Throne was not recognizable behind the mask so likeness rights really shouldn't be an issue.

I was ordering a few things from Figures Toy Co. website one day and realized I had all the pieces before me (leftover bits here and a few bargains online) to create some quick customs:

I know Louie didn't wear a purple trenchcoat in the TV show, but there was a $1 sale too hard to reject!
