NEW DIAMOND SELECT BATGIRL BANK

Post by Gryck » Wed Dec 20, 2017 12:32 pm

I personally think this is the best looking of the banks they have released.. Has the Fun of the show and actually looks like Yvonne.. It isn't as Cartoonish as the others are.

Makes me want to get the Batman and Robin to go with her.

That might look pretty good as the nose cone of a rocket. Hmmm...

Definitely liking the read of this bank more so than the Adam and Burt versions, which I have passed on up to this point.

I'll definitely be holding on to see some final product images once these hit shelves.

I like the headsculpt & I know it is still just a prototype picture- but
the body doesn't look in proportion to her head. I know Y.C. was petite,
but not like that. I hope I'm not out of line, but I did some work in
Photoshop & here is what I came up with. The shoulders could be narrowed
a bit & her arms shortened a little, but I think the body is much better...

Oh no!

I saw this on preorder from three Italian sellers on eBay last night and decided to ensure my local Australian comic store had one on order for me from Diamond USA. It seems the item has been cancelled due to lack of advance orders?

Could be true. Maybe that’s the reason she hasn’t been on display at the recent cons? If so, Diamond needs to say so and let the comic shops know so we can get refunds. I placed my order when it hit Previwes from Midtown Comics NYC. It’s still listed on their site as coming soon but the date keeps getting pushed back, but this is nothing new with Diamond Select releases, every statue, bank and bust I have preordered from them has been delayed. Often at least 2-3 months from the original date. If not mistaken June was the original date Midtown Comics had for her.

Entertainment Earth still offers preorder on this item with August as ship date. Big Bad Toy Store's page says "Sold Out".

My shop was quoting advice from Diamond.

I do know that Diamond will often cancel old orders and then reissue the product a few weeks/months later. Hope so.

I had mine on Pre-Order from Big Bad Toy Store and got an email from them last month saying it had been cancelled by the producer. I assume that means Diamond. And they removed it from my Pre-Orders.

Also the only way to find the bank on Entertainment Earth you have to type Batgirl bank for it come up. If you type Batgirl Classic TV or Batgirl 1966 a page of items pop up, but the bank isn’t there. Also if you google search Batgirl bank then hit shopping it doesn’t come up at all. Pretty sure rumors are true it’s cancelled. I hope the busts of Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson and Alfred are still happening.

She is definitely canceled. I asked Diamond Select Toys yesterday on Twitter and they confirmed she’s cancelled. I asked if the busts of Bruce, Dick and Alfred were still happening and they haven’t replied yet. I sure hope they are not.

Was any reason for the cancellation given?
