Re: Batman: The Movie Poster
Thank you to everyone for sharing these amazing pics.
Andy, I figured that a number of the ones on the page I linked were fan made, but I knew that a number were international versions, and that some of the others were made for current releases of the film (i.e. DVD and Blu-ray releases).
I also found this poster today. It is similar to the Australian poster, but it has the white box instead of being solid yellow. It was listed as an "Original Insert Poster" on the site I found it on.

The Australian poster you mention (shown earlier) is called a "Daybill" and measured approximately 13 by 30 inches. The "insert" poster was from the US and is a similar size -14 by 36 inches. They often had similar artwork due to the size similarities.floatinjoe wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 4:39 pm

I'd never seen the Finnish one before. I love the simplicity of it (though I could only guess the "joker" avatar by the process of elimination). The American ones always seemed so over-crowded to me.
The German Batman is scary!
I guess it makes sense from a marketing standpoint to have one consistent image for everything, but I really miss the days when different countries (or even different theater chains) were given the freedom to get creative.

"You were right again, Batman. We might have been killed."
"Or worse. Let's go..."

Re: Batman: The Movie Poster
Of course I'm biased, but I do think the Australian poster is one of the best....
Take care,

These are great and love seeing the variety. Keep 'em coming.

Love the Finland one! The Denmark is quite cool too.
If I´m not mistaken, that´s the one people had here in 66, so it´s from Spain.

Thank you for all of the information. I think that the Argentina poster might become my favorite.
