Wow! $200,000 right there. Thanks again Dan. Where does he get all those wonderful toys? OOPS. Sorry, wrong movie, but it fit. I couldn't resist.

Anyone remember when they were taking input on these in terms of options vs std features. I remember Dan had both in his links. They adopted a good number of features in this final design, but I don't recall whether they would have the aftermarket kits/upgrades. I can see Polar Lights jumping on this in Polystyrene eventually. Maybe under license. Sort of like the Addams Family And Munsters homes.

Wonder what that means for the rest of the Batman line? Another great hobby is dying out...

Joker model looks to be a done deal, concerned Batgirl may not happen now though, but I’d be ok without her, but Joker is a must to complete the model kits.

Sent them a note to see if they are shipping in the coming week. Did anyone customize their 1:50 scale Batmobiles yet - smaller door bats, beacon, rocket tubes, wheel bats?

Here's the response:

We are expecting to receive the Batcave into stock sometime in June 2018. There is a shipping notification that will be sent once the item is shipped so that you can track your shipment.

The best way to receive information is to sign up to receive our newsletter, if you have not already done so. That way you will receive all of the up-to-date information.

Thanks

Tina

As Dan said in his update, not all of us are Bruce Wayne. Bless all of you that are able to afford one. I think they would make a lot more money using plastic formed parts and having their price point around $199, but that is only my pity pot coming out I suppose

I know what you mean. Their Jurassic Park and Game of Thrones sculptures are more in line with that pricing. I really expected this to be about $250, but they optioned it up based on feedback, and we know that license may be as high as $100 of the cost, so there you are. I still say no one will attempt another as detailed as the target market heads toward retirement.

Keep your eye on the FTC. Their 66 Batcave will be closer to your price point of $199 and have some nifty accessories too. Remember the Mego reproduction did not come with Batcomputer, figure or Batsignal and the rest of it. Perhaps they'll offer 2 versions, fully optioned and Base.
