Leslie Thomas production art from 66 movie

Post by John Mack »

Found this little Diddy from a 2014 Antiques Roadshow episode. This is very clearly the scene in the Ye Old Benbow tavern, but not quite how it was filmed lol. Watch the clip. You'll get a smIle on your face, especially when the appraiser makes a very nice comment at the end.

I know Sprang had a thread about his work about two years ago?

Great painting even with the artistic license.
Love Leslie's work.

You have a good memory. Yes, a few of Mr Thomas' production art paintings reside in the Special Collections department of James Branch Cabell library, where I work.

"Or worse. Let's go..."

My mind isn't what it used to be, now if I could use it for winning the lottery instead of trivia lol

There were quite a few photos of Leslie Thomas's work in the 2016 Batman book, but there were a few exclusions. It would be great if there was a text that included photos on ALL of them.
