Bradford Exchange glitter globe

Post by danbar »

Received this from Bradford Exchange this week. I was very pleased. I think it is a lot of fun. It takes batteries or an adapter (neither is included). When switched on, it plays a full refrain of the Batman TV theme song and the batmobile rotates around the atomic pile inside the batcave. It has 2 modes. You can just activate the batmobile rotation, or batmobile and music. The water globe contains glitter as well as die-cut POW! ZONK!, etc confetti. For anyone who was thinking about this item, but was unsure what the final product would look like, I am very satisfied with my purchase. Here are some pics.

This might be the best Bradford item I've seen so far.

I started a thread on this awhile back. Can a moderator combine them? viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6416. It shows advance artwork.

I'm really surprised that this turned out quite good considering the horrors of the past, and although batman and robin are no more detailed than a Mexican knockoff toy (they don't even have the bat chest emblem!) I think I may give this a shot!

It arrived today and I love it. The quality of this item is surprisingly good considering it's sold by the Bradford Exchange. My only disappointment in it comes from the Batmobile's windshield being painted silver instead of clear glass. Also, the tv show theme song is not the one from the show's introduction, but some other recording. The fact that it starts off with bodacious bass trombones makes up for that though.
