Awesome! I really dig the all-chrome pieces. Nothing new here yet. That or sold out because it’s Christmas.

Yes it is a custom. I need some Christmas colored versions but a $50 per pop, it’s a bit painful.

That is....horrible. Just so gaudy. I could imagine if the original Mego Corp had the rights to use Dozier's version of Batman, their Batmobile would have turned out like this--TV logo slapped all over, bright body color and not an ounce of subtlety (not that Mego's Batmobile was toned down...).

For once, I would like to see Mattel (or another company) produce a 1:50 or 1:18 scale version of that sleek Batmbile from that 60s painting--matching all of its sharp angles and proportions.

I like that idea. The Corgi and Aurora and Simms Batmobiles sort of capture that animated Batmobile in the opening credits. Maybe Eaglemoss can attempt it in 1/43.

Friend of mine just picked these up today at Walmart. Going by the special logo, it looks like they’re doing a special run for the 80th anniversary. He said there were a whole bunch of other things, but he was only looking for the Hot Wheels. There is a ‘66 in the set.

There won't be any new Batman or DC items from Mattel. They lost the master license to Spin Master. Unless Mattel has a Hot Wheels license separate from the master toy license? I've been seeing many Jada Batmobiles in Target. The ones that come with the standing figure of Batman and has Robin sitting in the car on the Batphone while the Batphone is also on the console of the car hahaha.
