'66 Batman Greeting Cards

Post by mwilbury »

I have not seen this little item mentioned on the board, and my son received it on his birthday a couple weeks ago. (It's especially appropriate that he got the card from his "Nana")

I’m hoping those are currently available. If so, I’m all over buying several of them for any future birthdays.

I know we’ve probably covered this a few times here (I have a time or two), but this is yet another indication of the incredible cultural significance of the show. A TV show that went off the air nearly 50 years ago - STILL relevant and instantly recognizable.... T-Shirts (I’m wearing one at this very moment) , greeting cards, cartoons, references (I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve heard people say “riddle me this”- including twice this year, both on national newscasts), and plenty of other ways.

The show we love and collect was a very big deal. I made a post a couple of years ago where I’d walked past a sandwich board that had a Batman reference and it was the TV show. Come on, man! That’s crazy for a 50 year old TV show.

Hallmark has them on their site if you cant find them locally.

As indicated in the product description, parts of the card are embossed, so the skyline and bat-signal are slightly raised, as well as elements on the front of the card.

It's a pretty cool item, on the whole.

My wife came home from Target with another '66 Batman greeting card. This one's from Carlton Cards. I didn't find it online, so I thought I'd share a photo.

Smart addition. Zazzle has tons of image options and customization.

To elaborate, the cards I stumbled on here are nicer products, having unique artwork along with foil stamping, diecuts or embossed elements.
