In the next batch of auctions they have- starting tonight-- they have Doug Croft's Robin vest from the first Batman serial-- they incorrectly have a picture of John Duncan next to it.

Amazing how this came to my attention, after the Azarian auction I got a text from a collector asking if I was interested in a 1949 Batman serial vest-- he sent me pics and mentioned its got Doug Croft's name in it-- so I tell him that's the '43 serial-- I ask what he wants for it and he tells me to make an offer. Well, another collector I know gave me a heads up that this is in the Hollywood Auction at Profiles and it turns out this first guy doesn't even own it yet.

Shameless, he wasn't giving me a heads up on the auction, he was going to buy it and resell it to me. Maybe I shouldn't be offended, that's fair game, but it's bad karma.

I saw this when I was out there. It's underwhelming without the "R" in my opinion....
He was TINY!!!!!

Amazing they matched it up. I would have thought it was an elf suit. He was pretty small-- Wilson wasn't a big man either-- he was my size-- about 5'10" and 180lbs

Given this info...I feel the Hardeman costumes could easily get over a million. Considering the set that sold here were missing several things (fins on Batman's gloves, a cowl shell, etc.) WOWZA!

I would concur with Professor Wingert's dissertation.

Yep, without a doubt, Mark's suit would get right up there.

Really disappoints me to know we were lied to for all these years...

Can't find the results concerning the Robin vest. Did it sell?

Anyone know who the owner of the bust is? Any clue of the weight of it? I’m sure fiberglass is pretty light

Hey Keith- the Robin vest went for small money compared to the Batman suits-- a few thousand. I know the buyer, and believe it or not this is his SECOND Doug Croft Robin Vest. His other one still has the emblem on it.

I think we will be seeing a super accurate bust from Williams Studio 2 in the coming year...

Was there ever an answer to how we’re sure these Bat costumes were worn by Adam? What about the ones in the George Sanders episode, or were those all worn by Adam, too? What about Alfred’s? The stunt costumes? I just think that those, while screen worn, would go for a lot less. There’s a George Sanders Freeze helmet out there, but is there anything to guarantee that he wore it? Look how many there were...

With how little these things were documented, I’d just like to hear more. So much money is spent on these items that I’m sure there’s concrete proof, I’d just love to hear the stories.
