Moebius "Batman '66" model kits

Post by Therin of Andor »

I haven't bought these, but if I had the display space, they would be a no-brainer purchase. Also love the box art.

I did not know that you could change the heads and accessories. That is pretty cool. I love the alt Riddler face. Joker, not so much.

Those boxes look great. I want them too. Do they say 66$ each?? Am I reading that correctly?

I didn't feel any kind of urgency on these when they were first released because I suck at painting, but that being said each time I see the box-art (and especially when you see the boxes side by side like in Ian's photos in this thread) I think i'll probably end up grabbing these even if it's just to display like that, haha. It's a shame that the Batgirl kit that Mobeius produced was in a different scale to these, I want to say 1/5th?

I feel the same. Great art!
I was looking at the Batgirl model last night and was wondering the same thing. I read that all 7 models link together and I dont understand why that one is so much bigger. Thats the one I want most too.

Australian dollars.

Some are $AU 62.99, others $64.99 and $66.99, currently "20% off marked prices". Australians are used to paying double US recommended retail.

Batgirl in a matching scale is still forthcoming.

When I was checking these out a while back, I thought I saw a setup in which the "Batcave rock" pedestals for each kit fit together to create a group display. Did they ditch that idea (I thought it was featured on the box art, but it doesn't seem to be here.) Do the pedestals interlock or otherwise fit together in a prescribed way?

Thanks,

Jim

I spent quite a bit of time working on these but they are really nice kits. The Batgirl was released in a larger scale resin for some reason but they are supposed to be making it in plastic and same scale as these kits so waiting for it to come out so I can complete the set. She goes in the back and her base is the ears to complete the bat symbol.

You did a fantastic job! I still have my Joker to put together. Not looking forward to the stripes on his pants! I have the masking strips, but it still seems like it will be difficult. Yours turned out great. Congrats!

You did do a great job. Not sure what they were going for with Robin.
