Because Australia didn't get colour TV until March 1975, so Batman primetime first-run, and almost a decade of afternoon reruns were always b/w for us!

While I initially thought this was just an easy cash grab by McFarlane Ian's right-- even in America watching the show in reruns in the early 70s I only saw it in Black and White-- but the selling point for me was when I saw the figure in Ben's post (still don't have one, not sure if I will) but the gray tones are spot on-- they make up for the wrong coloring on the main figures-- and it pops with the orange card, so in my opinion the BW version is a home run. It wins on a nostalgic level for some of us and an artistic level as well.

Anyone who thinks that the release of the BW figures cut into more villains isn't comprehending tooling and production costs-- this figure cost them virtually nothing to produce, but again, it looks great.

I'm going to have to order a B/W Batman, just because I like how it matches up with the original colors in thew comics and looks imho, much better than the Blue/Gray.

Wow Egghead is amazing!!! My biggest wants after the main 4 villains were Egghead and King Tut. So glad both are coming. I think it looks as if Mad Hatter won’t be made as I feel he’d had been announced along with Pink Cowl Batman.

The Lair doesn’t really present well in the box does it?

It absolutely doesn't-- expect that to be on clearance due to bad packaging. Egghead looks great.

I hit two of the three Targets in my area this morning and scored a Lair and B&W Joker!

Has anyone tried to fix the very odd choice of shadows on B&W Cesar's face? I'm thinking a Magic Eraser might do it.

The lair is definitely the item i've been most looking forward to from this recent wave, i've had my United Underworld graphic ready and waiting for months!
