Such uninspired packaging and accessories.

I can’t speak to the accessories, but the packaging is dictated by Warner Bros.

And, just for the record, I really dislike the WB mandated style guide. I don’t think it reflects the series at all.

Looks like they did not account for the "seat squish"

We just need Catwoman, Penguin, and Riddler!

Far from perfect but I did think the video makes them look a little better. Best thing is the price seems very reasonable. Todd said 35$ for the cave alone and all 3 figures, car and cave for under 100$. It looks like a set that I could have some fun modifying the accessories and capes and such.
I don't want to forget that we are lucky to get so many products based on such an old show. Still I would have thought McFarlane would have knocked it out of the park and they are not much different than previous versions.

Couple take aways from the video.
Robin's cape is scalloped?
Batmobile doesn't appear to be scaled to figures.
He mentions variants. We have seen naked Joker and unmasked Robin, what could the Batman variant be? Pink cowl is my guess, just a guess.
The pipes on the back of Batmobile curve backwards.
Steering wheel is close, do other Batmobile have correct steering wheel, not remembering off hand.
B&R seem to stand easily and sturdy
They seem to be putting alot of weight on those sound effects instead of a batarang or other accessories.
The set feels uncharacteristically cheap, as well as inexpensive, but I will most likely get it all.
Capes will need to be replaced, I hope Randy is working on a design.

Best vantage on the Batcave playset so far:

A couple of thoughts worth noting:

- I've just seen that these are set to be Target exclusives (boo for the rest of the world...)

- At the price point, I think there's scope for a ton of fun with modifications and upgrades with this Cave as the starting point. Definitely a lot more accessible for fans across the board than if someone was to a highly detailed version in this scale... IMHO.

So no pressure Randy, but...

Generally when a product is exclusive to a company like Target, deals are in place to make it available via some international retailers. I can’t promise that’ll be the case here. But it’s likely.

If it’s Target exclusive can’t everyone order from the website? The variant Batman is swim trunks. They’re making an unmasked Robin wouldn’t they do a Batman too? I look at it this way, if it’s too hard to get I just saved $100+

The video got me fairly excited for even more space consuming Bat-stuff. I liked the Mattel series, but principall plusses here are the Batcave and that the figures can stand without special stands. I also like the cost consciousness of the line as I would like to see it continue. If they can do a Batmobil for $30, maybe a Jokermobil would be possible? Can you imagine. . .

Swim Trunks Batman isn’t a variant. He’s a series 2 release along with Swim Trunks Joker, and The Riddler.

Unmasked Batman is apparently a New York Comic Con exclusive. It may be available another way but nothing announced yet.

The unmasked ones really make zero sense to me, but I’m not a completist by any means. I just can’t imagine a kid wanting a Batman figure without a mask. I think these can stand better than Mattel because they left out the ankle joints.
